An add-on to a bulk processing system, the trommel cleans split firewood ensuring high quality and accurate weight.
Designed specifically for firewood businesses, the trommel will efficiently remove all fines (dirt, gravel, wood chips & splinters) through the fine screen and most of the kindling and smaller pieces of wood through the coarse screen, resulting in cleaner, more valuable wood.
For firewood businesses, cleaning the wood is the last step in preparation for bulk retail sale. Investing in a trommel means the wood is cleaner, more saleable and results in more accurate weight measurement. There are multiple ways to configure a trommel so talk to us about your requirements. The picture above shows the ‘Trommel with the lot’ – this system includes one cord infeed hopper, 10.5ft x 4ft trommel drum, 19ft rubbish conveyor and a 31ft outfeed conveyor. This set up is powered by a 24hp Yanmar diesel engine and mounted on a dual axle mobile chassis.
